An amusing and active toy for you and your dog or cat
The idea behind the Dog Finder is the dog or cat is to look for treats by moving blocks in four different directions. The block can only be lifted at the end of each track. Under each block there is a depression where treats can be hidden...
The idea...With Dog Finder is that you and your dog or cat will have a nice and enjoyable time together. Your pet is to learn to look for treats by moving blocks with its paw or nose in four different directions. The block can only be lifted at the end of each track. Under the blocks there are hollows where treats can be hidden. You can place 1 or 2 blocks in each track. Teach the dog or cat to understand words like: wait, go ahead, back off, find it, sit etc while you are playing. Enrich your relationship with your pet. You show. The dog or cat looks, listens and learns. Praise them when they do things right. Together you will have fun!
Use...The first time you use only one block in each track, with treats under each block. Let your pet be present to see when you hide the treat. Tell your pet to go ahead and let them try to find the treats by themselves. If your pet does not understand, lift one block and show the treat and let them try again. Praise your pet as soon as they do things right. When your pet has understood how it works, you hide a different number of treats in each game. It depends on the pet how many times you manage to play. If your pet tries to bite the game or its parts, put your hand over it and stop the game. When your pet has calmed down you can say "go ahead" and let them try again. If your pet repeatedly wants to bite, teach them to work only with their paw. If, on the other hand, your pet wants to throw themselves on the game and beat excessively with their paw, then teach them to work with their nose by putting the game on a stool/chair which is adapted to the size of your pet. This is also useful if your pet has an injured paw or is newly operated.
Increase the degree of difficulty...
By using more blocks in each track.
If your dog or cat finds it hard to grip the blocks, you can tie a string through the holes in the blocks.
Important... Do not let the dog or cat chew or bite the toy, only play with it together with your dog/cat, do not leave the dog or cat unattended, the dog or cat must not play with or chew the blocks. Put away when the game is over. Designed for dogs and cats, it is not a toy for a child.
